Who I Be and Stuff That Tickles Me!

I was born in 1982, Spring time, I like fire, I worked in television of the sci-fi broadcast variety. I love the Malazan Book of the Fallen. I own more than one shiny blade. I buy shiny blades on occasion. Me likey the shiny blade. I did Shotokan Karate for a decade before injuries caused me to pull out – it haunts me. I like Stargate. I liked Xena in the time of its popularity. I paid $150 for a ticket to an early screening of Serenity, it was the best theatre experience of my life. I like to talk fandom, I find it fascinating, even if I don’t watch/read/play something myself I love to explore the worlds of creativity made by the people who enjoy them. Fans delight me. I like to play stuff. I like game soundtracks. In the words of Michelangelo...I love being a turtle!

I find myself in a vary strange situation where I seem to be re-discovering this website that I signed up for due to it being one of the only non-blocked sights I can visit while at work. I look over the friends I have here and strangely enough, I don’t remember you. While this is an often occurrence for me you, however, do seem strangely familiar. An in intriguing situation indeed as I peruse your file looking for any sort of clue to stimulate my memory. Nothing seems to stand out. I can get that about Alien Resurrection, but I just keep going back to the original, and how much it changed. I know change does not necessarily mean bad, but I liked the original. By Resurrection, it had turned kind of cartoonish. I love Signorney too (how can one go past Ghostbusters?!), but I really dislike Winona (even after Beetlejuice!)

But I can hear how good you think Firefly is, and because you love B5, I will watch it, and tell you what I think ;D

Sorry for the delay Nadine. Heres the thing with Firefly, at least with me: I figure, why get into what is by all accounts a REALLY cool TV show which I know for a fact finishes after one series and a motion pictures. I still here people complain about it on the other forums I am on, and I can do without the frustration ;)

Being a Sci Fi fan is all about controlled disappointment, and I guess Firefly would just make me angry again that TV execs and the general population is as dumb as two short planks.

Now, to my shame, I am not entirely sure. I think I MAY have seen it one TV once or twice, but for some reason, I THINK it was put up against 'Earth 2' here, which I was an amazing fan of, even after it turned really wierd ;)

That is the stuff of nightmares. I know... I've had that one before ;)

People who commit heinous crimes should be made to sit in there and take LSD. They'd never do anything wrong ever again ;)

Also as an addendum, I forgot to mention BSG in my last comment. They only showed the first season of the new series here, but IT ROCKED! When I finally have the time, I'll download the rest of the seasons. I know, I'm evil, but after TNT cancelled Crusade I don't feel the need to pay to watch Sci Fi shows ;)
