I am a dedicated gearhead who likes cars, motorcycles and computers... and I actually do own all three (shocking!). Naturally, I am also a sci-fi and fantasy nerd, so HardcoreNerdity became my home on the internet.

I am a former professional sailing instructor and race coach, and a former lifeguard. I practically grew up on varying power boats, and I can parallel park one on a dime, thank you very much. Once upon a time I achieved my brown belt in Taekwondo. I was an avid downhill and cross-country skier for many years. And, believe it or not, I was a bouncer at one time in my life. I'll tell you about it someday.

I have won a few awards for my writing in the past - both fiction and non. I have a BA in history, which I am putting to no use whatsoever.

Currently, I enjoy designing websites (including those of our very own Adrienne Kress, Lesley Livingston, and Jon Llyr's Tempest Theatre... and, oh yeah, HardcoreNerdity), hanging out with the HcN crew, and sounding like a mental reject on HcN podcasts. I like girly drinks. I can't hold my liquor. One time I bumped into George Stroumboulopoulos at the midnight IMAX showing of Batman and tripped up the stairs, spilling all my popcorn. It was brilliant.

I have a Lab/Border Collie cross named Pilot who is a handful, but whom I adore, and have since vowed to never procreate.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support Lesley as she launched her second novel, Darklight at the Dominion on Queen.
